Steve Cashman, President and CEO of Caption Health
Caption Health, a leading medical artificial intelligence company driving better health consequences by extending passage to ultrasound, has named Steve Cashman as its new president and Chief Executive Officer.
- Cashman has joined Caption Health after working as Chief Commercial Officer at InTouch Health, which was procured by Teladoc in 2020. At InTouch, Cashman supervised the company’s domestic and global sales, as well as product, marketing, customer service, and clinical services, obtaining an estimated 35% year-over-year growth in 2019 under his administration.
- Dr. Koepsell, co-founder, and Chief Technology Officer of Caption Health said, “I am thrilled to work with Steve as we continue our mission to make ultrasounds more accessible than ever, empowering critical diagnoses that may have otherwise come too late.” Cashman was preceded in this role by Caption Health co-founder Charles Cadieu, Ph.D., who will be leaving Caption Health to seek new endeavors.
- Having confirmed the effectiveness of its AI guidance and analysis software for cardiac ultrasound through extensive clinical validation published in JAMA Cardiology and Circulation: Cardiovascular Imaging, Caption Health also intends to develop its technology to new clinical utilization. The company received a $4.95M grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in November last year to amplify AI capabilities for lung ultrasound.
- Dr. Koepsell, co-founder, and Chief Technology Officer of Caption Health added, “We have made great strides on our journey to reconstruct healthcare by leveraging the power of artificial intelligence to democratize high-quality medical imaging. I am excited to work with Steve as we continue our mission to make ultrasounds more accessible than ever, enabling critical diagnoses that may have otherwise come too late.”
